Is there a rule that says kids have to go to school?
I was homeschooled, my brothers were also homeschooled, and even my parents were homeschooled. It seems to run in the family When the decision to enroll our children in school arose I suggested for them to be homeschooled as I don't see any reason for them to go to school. But my wife and friends are concerned that my children have to go to school. Although I don't know why they are worried, I was homeschooled and I turn out fine both academically and socially, so I don't see any wrong with homeschooling. Please is there a rule that says kids have to go to school?

There is no rule that your kids have to go to an in-person school. But they do need to be in some form of school. Homeschooling is a completely valid schooling choice for your kids as long as you make sure to do it properly. You can sign them up for a homeschooling online program, which is what many people tend to do. Or you can buy your own curriculum and try to teach them everything yourself. If you do it like that, you need to be able to show your kids' progress just in case someone from the state did come by to see what the kid is learning. It’s not likely that someone will come to see this, but it is a possibility. In-person school can be great for some people but it can be terrible for others.
