What qualities should I keep in mind when looking for a nanny?

I've been at home taking care of my kids since they were born. I recently got my dream job and I am so excited to get started. My partner and I have never needed a nanny to be with my two kids because I was there taking care of them. We have no idea what to look for when it comes to a person who will be taking care of the kids all day. I have an almost four year old and a 14-month-old. I want to make sure they are well taken care of. What are some things I should keep in mind?

Here are some of the qualities you might want to look for when hiring a nanny. you might consider hiring a nanny who is somewhat attractive, but not sexy. If you can find a nanny that is of the same ethnic group you are you can try hiring her as the child will feel more comfortable. you should also try to check to see if the nanny had a criminal record and possibly see if you could take a look at the credit report. You might not want a nanny who is deep in debt. She might steal valuables like cash, jewelry, etc. you would not want to hire a man as a nanny for your kids especially when your kids are still little. Set the standards that you want. Tell her how you expect her to interact with your kids. Will your kids be in kindergarten for some part of the day? If she is to pick them, or take them to kindergarten, be sure to check her driving record. I hope you find the perfect nanny.

Obviously, you want to make sure that they don’t have any criminal background. If you are looking on a website specifically for babysitters and nannies, they often run background checks before letting people's profiles become public, which would make it easier for you. It’s also important to make sure that they can do everything you want them to safely. If you need them to cook, make sure they can, if they need to drive the kids anywhere, make sure they can drive and drive safely. You will also want to make sure that they are good with kids, so maybe find someone who has recommendations from other families.
